"When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back.” - Paulo Coelho

I, My Own Bridesmaid Gown Designer

November 20, 2007

Last week, I was glad to hear from I'm friend that I'll be one of her bridesmaids for her 2008 wedding. Well officially. Because I was assuming I'd be part of her bridal entourage. (*winks) So what's the difference from other weddings that I've attended? She will let me design for my dress. Isn't it nice? I got excited. I browsed for gowns and formal dresses for the wedding. But this Saturday, I saw the poster of the Enchanted movie and I love the actress' dress. Maybe I'll just design a dress inspired by her gown. It will also be in a different color - brownish or grayish.

The dress looks lovely! I will soon draw my own Enchanted-inspired gown. I just love the layers of the dress. And that ribbon, too. Niiiccee! ;)

I’d love to have that dress! If there’s a way you could send me the pattern of the dress, I would really appreciate it!

I would love the pattern as well! If you figure it out, I would love to have it, and greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

That dress is gorgeous! I was thinking about trying to go about making one for a formal event but without the sleeves. Have you made this dress by now? If you have could you explain how you went about it? I have an idea of how I might, but a voice of experience would be appreciated :D

When I went to see this movie just weeks before DVD release, I fell in love with all of Amy Adams’ dresses. From the wedding gown, to that pink dress she made from the curtain (the dress she wore to the ball doesn’t count, though). They’re so beautiful and incredibly gorgeous. It really brings out the princess in Amy. I love this movie.

Thanks for the pics. Soon its gonna be my daughters 5th birthday and of course, she wants one of this dresses. In fact, she doesnt know yet if she wants this green one, or the pink one.

Any help will be apreciated!

Greetings from México.

It was nice reading your post. I needed to know such kind of information to update myself. I work in my friend’s boutique of flower girl dresses and also help in the online promotion.
